​Our client specialises in IT, Engineering, Renewables, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas and all recruitment is focused on the UK markets from Bristol.  They were founded in 2007 and has 20 offices worldwide and 300 employees. 

The Bristol office has 20 employees, and they have very impressive growth plans to build on. The commission goes up to 30% and our client is big on incentives, lots of trips abroad, and lunch clubs. 

The Operational Manager is a pivotal role in driving growth plans in 2023 and into the future.  You will manage day to day business operations and provide input to shape the future of the organisation. They have a strong, ethical culture of collaboration, they invest heavily in our people, environment, and tools – always making sure that everyone is having fun along the way.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Creating tools to manage all operational and client workflows ensuring maximum efficiency.

• Responsible for overall company compliance with all relevant legislation.

• Internal HR Management, recruitment, and training

• Writing, updating, and implementing all company policies and procedures.

• Designing reporting tools and analysing data for internal and client use.

• Ensuring full take up and effectiveness of IT systems.

• Create and implement an effective marketing plan.

• Reviewing client contracts, identifying any potential issues in our delivery capability and/or establish new procedures as are required to meet the terms of the contract.

• Communicating client processes/requirements to Finance, operations and Sales teams.

• Subject matter expert on PAYE contracts, IR35, AWR, GDPR and all other relevant legislation.

• Manage Operations team activity including monthly review meetings.


Previous experience

• A min of 5 years prior experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans within a recruitment organisation, which consistently deliver desired results.

• Thorough understanding of end-to-end recruitment process methodology within the Recruitment and Staffing industry

• Proven experience of motivating others to deliver exceptional performance and long terms results.
